Meadow Cottage
The Perfect Cottage for One or Two
Jeff is pleased to offer prospective guests a real value for money opportunity to enjoy this lovely cottage and its beautiful Cotswold location in the hamlet of Charingworth.
Meadow Cottage was created from a former cow byre just over 4 years ago to provide spacious and luxurious accommodation for two set in a private, quiet and sunlit rural spot – it has fitted seamlessly into its local surroundings and matured into arguably one of the nicest cottages for a couple to stay in in the area.
It is set in the picturesque ancient hamlet of Charingworth and benefits from lovely views over the surrounding open countryside. As part of the North Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it is just a 7-minute drive from Chipping Campden’s High Street and only a couple of minutes drive (15 – 20 minute walk) from the well known Ebrington Arms and its very special menus.
The accommodation consists of a spacious well-thought-out light, airy well equipped and tastefully furnished kitchen/diner/lounge area with large picture windows offering views looking over open countryside to the south. Original roof timbers and a log burner add to the ambiance.
The master bedroom with it’s his and hers fitted wardrobes enjoys an adjacent bathroom and extensive views through the front glass facade over rolling countryside.
The colourful patio areas are there for you to relax in along with breakfast or a nice glass of something special in the sunshine. WiFi is provided.
You do not have to go to Chipping Campden for all your provisions, turn right out of the gateway, take the next 2 rights and after 300 yards you will find Vegetable Matters where you can buy their farm fresh vegetables, meat from the butchers and enjoy a coffee in their light and airy cafe.
For those with plenty of energy there is a myriad of footpaths and walks to suit everyone. Within 80 yards you can walk up the steep sided cutting and out onto the ridge with tremendous views over Ebrington and Chipping Campden to Broadway Tower and the west.
Further up Ilmington Hill the view opens out over the expansive Oxfordshire an Warwickshire countryside before you descend into Ilmington and enjoy a break at the village shop/cafe where you can chose from a variety of return routes.
