The Perfect Cottage for 2 (Up to 4)
The Old Granary with its stone steps and railings is a cosy little inverted (ground floor double bedroom with en suite wet-room, first floor open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner and additional double sofa bed) and well-equipped cottage. It is an ideal little hideaway for a romantic few days in the Cotswolds or a quiet respite away from the everyday hustle and bustle of city life.
Recently refurbished, its cosy, yet light and airy open-plan first floor sitting room with a kitchen/dining area can be accessed through a oak door (through which you get a delightful view of the banked and tree lined lane) from the top of the traditional old stone steps or more easily and internally via a stairway from the ground floor bedroom.
The fitted limed oak kitchen includes electric oven/hob, microwave oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, steamer, washer/drier, coffee maker, toaster, etc. The dining table will seat at least 4, the large sofa provides very comfortable seating and there is a 40 inch colour television for your entertainment. The large double sofa bed provides accommodation for 2 more persons at a cost of an additional 20% supplementary charge – if you wish to do this, please contact Michael on 01386 840164 to make the necessary arrangements.
Thanks to the outside stone steps and new gas fired central heating system, the ground floor double bedroom is snug in winter and cool in summer. It enjoys a built-in wardrobe, 22 inch colour television and an oak table for your computer (high speed Wi-Fi included), etc.
The ensuite wet-room is wheelchair accessible, has a comfort height toilet, wall mounted shower seat and suitable vertical and horizontal bars to provide additional support.
There is parking for one car alongside the steps and access to Top Farm’s colourful 300 year old garden. Availability is rather limited, so it is best to contact Michael well in advance on 01386 840164.
It is strictly non-smoking and we do not allow pets. Two-person weekly price ranges from £330 to £550.
There are plenty of local footpaths and walks for the rambler and secure storage can be provided for cyclists who want to enjoy the Cotswold and Warwickshire Lanes. Chipping Campden’s historic High Street and many restaurants and inns are within a 700 yard walk.
